You will be at the forefront of our mission to help under-represented borrowers achieve homeownership. In this dynamic role, you’ll use data and analytics to help our product team drive innovative mortgage propositions, conduct market research, and assess commercial opportunities. You'll influence product management and pricing strategies, optimise lending criteria, and drive better customer outcomes.

What you'll do
Here’s a taste of what you will be doing as a Commercial Insight Analyst at Nottingham Building Society: -
- Play a key role in the design of new mortgage propositions for extra ordinary borrowers (EOBs) who are under-served in the market, and who Nottingham Building Society can help buy a home of their own, via use of data and analytics. In particular, use data to carry out market research, understand customer needs and estimate commercial benefits of new propositions.
- Support ongoing product management and pricing activity via the use of data, including support with the build and maintenance of pricing models.
- Play a key role in influencing how we improve customer outcomes and commercial performance via data – for example by optimising our product set and lending criteria. Undertake competitor and customer analysis to help shape our mortgage proposition.
- Support the monitoring and improvement of operational efficiency via the use of data.
- Proactively own relationships with third-party data providers to optimise the value Nottingham Building Society can gain from these relationships.
- Collaborate with teams across Lending and Nottingham Building Society’s wider business to understand and meet their analytics needs.
- Play a supporting role in improving data infrastructure and usage at Nottingham Building Society, for example by acting as a “subject matter expert” within the Lending team and working closely with our Data
- Undertake market and competitor analysis to help shape our mortgage proposition and pricing
About you
- Transferable experience in a commercial and/or data analytics role with sound data and analytics skills, with the ability to use data to solve business challenges and identify opportunities.
- Expertise in relevant data-led software, including Excel, PowerBI, SAS etc as appropriate.
- Ability to communicate and present findings in a clear and compelling way, both written and verbally.
- Solid commercial acumen and appreciation for customer outcomes; you will be motivated by improving customer outcomes.
- A curious and proactive nature, particularly around future trends and developments that could benefit the Society and its customers.
- Lead by example by fully championing new ways of working and role modelling the use of new systems and data.
- Bring engagement and inclusivity to the role, ensuring that we fully utilise the breadth of skills across the Society.
