Evidera’s Patient-Centered Research (PCR) group combines a unique portfolio of scientific disciplines, including health sciences, psychometrics, epidemiology, psychology, and many other social sciences. Our dedicated team encompass strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for research, including scientific contributions on a variety of projects related to the quantitative and qualitative development of clinical outcomes assessments including patient, clinician and observer-reported measures designed to assess the impact of disease and treatment.
Our staff also develop studies to evaluate patient preferences and utilities, execute various implementation science studies, conduct Delphi panels and do secondary data analysis using advanced statistical techniques. Our work has helped identify and clarify unmet clinical needs, assess burden of illness and evaluate patient outcomes, preference and/or adherence, while supporting promotional and labeling claims on a global scale.
Position Overview
The Research Associate I provides scientific support for discrete tasks. May independently manage some project-related tasks.
Science
- Assists with preparing proposals, protocols, and reports by conducting internet and literature searches
- Conducts literature reviews by abstracting data from scientific articles
- Conducts and may oversee site recruitment, site contracting and IRB submissions, site management, and site training.
- Conducts and assists with data collection, including conducting one-on-one cognitive interviews and co-moderating focus groups; compiles data collection tools.
- Conducts and assists with data management, including performing data entry and review
- Conducts and assists with data analysis, including preparing qualitative code book, performing and overseeing coding, and reviewing quantitative data tables
Project Management
- Perform efficient delegation and communication within/outside of project team, and communicate regularly with senior project team members (i.e. principal investigator) about project tasks.
- Limited to some client contact.
- Conduct site recruitment, including site screening and contracting.
- Assist with and conduct site training and site management, including tracking enrollment and scheduling.
- Conduct IRB submission/management.
- Assist with financial management of project.
- Travel might be required.
Financial and Business Development
- No proposal writing requirement of this position, although individuals may choose to work on sections of selected proposals.
PCR Operations Support
- Participates in staff recruitment efforts
- Conforms to SOPs and other Evidera requirements
- Attends trainings
- Participates in the training of new hires into the RA1 level
Education, Professional Skills & Experience
- Master’s Degree in scientific discipline and at least one year of experience in healthcare research; or
- Bachelor’s Degree in scientific discipline and at least two years of experience in healthcare research.

- Atlas.ti; Access data entry; InFormU; EndNote; PubMed/embase; DataFax to be utilized in position
