About you and the opportunity

Working alongside our teams of pioneers, innovators and domain experts, we’re looking to recruit career focused graduates to join our Emerging Talent Programme commencing in September 2022.
On offer is the opportunity to join our Emerging Talent Programme and become involved in transport projects and research through the lens of environment and sustainability, automation in transport, digitisation of transport, safety, new mobility and transport for sustainable development. Opportunities exist within our Research & Consultancy, Services and Software business areas.
We're keen on receiving applications from Graduates across a range of specialisms, if you have been immersed in a STEM subject or have studied Civil, Mechanical, Electronics, Software, Psychology, Environmental, Transport or related areas - we want to hear from you.
We're also interested in hearing from other applicants who have the desire to make a difference in the future of transport.
Be part of our Emerging Talent Programme
Our two-year Emerging Talent Programme is aimed at the early careers community and is designed as a launchpad for your career at TRL. Your development will be through a blended approach – combining ‘on the job’ experience within the delivery teams alongside a programme of structured and social learning.
You will be encouraged to work on a range of projects across our different specialisms, as well as one or more reinvestment projects, and a placement with our Project Management Office. This will give you some breadth of understanding of our service offering and the opportunity to learn from different TRL experts.
Structured development is achieved through bespoke workshops delivered by an external training provider, focussed on practical and rounded skills development with a commercial focus. Further learning is achieved by working closely with your peers on projects and follow up workshops.
