Are you an organised and proactive individual looking to excel as a Legal Assistant in the Real Estate sector? Our Real Estate team in London are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to provide essential administrative support to Partners, Fee Earners, and PAs. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to be a business-critical member of a dynamic team.

The role

The Legal Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the legal team with various administrative tasks.

  • Manage filing and file management, including opening and closing files
  • Maintain electronic filing and document management systems
  • Produce and engross legal documents
  • Assist fee earners with billing, credit control, and time recording
  • Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Compile and manage PDF documents, data-rooms, and electronic storage
  • Obtain official documents from local authorities and third-party providers
  • Conduct online searches using the Land Registry Portal
  • Undertake legal research as required
  • Schedule and compile bibles of documents
  • Provide general administrative support, including scanning, photocopying, and printing

The candidate

The ideal candidate for the Legal Assistant role will possess the following skills and attributes.

  • Exceptional client service skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks effectively
  • Previous administrative experience is desirable
  • Flexibility to work outside normal hours when required
