Our Operations teams work where Uber's technology meets the real world. We own city-specific business outcomes and bridge our overall business strategy with local needs. We ensure complex, business-critical work is done in a high-quality way and champion the core Uber experience in our local market.

This role is on the UKI Driver Operations team where our mission is to grow a long term, loyal driver base. This role is both strategic and hands-on and calls for a combination of customer obsession, savvy analytics, strategic thinking and strong execution. You will have to think creatively to find ways to continuously enhance Uber's value proposition to new drivers and optimise their customer journey.

What You'll Do

You will work with the Driver Lifecycle team to support our driver growth efforts. This may include helping to improve the new driving onboarding process, resurrecting churned drivers and improving engagement and satisfaction of existing drivers.

Supported by the rest of the team, key activities will include:

  • Problem Solving - Solve business challenges by identifying the root cause and implementing effective solutions
  • Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management - Engage with a number of functions across the business - policy, communications, product, marketing, legal and customer support
  • Project management and execution - Plan and project manage multiple projects and have the ability to execute in a constantly changing, complex environment
  • Data Analytics - measure and understand performance and run "real world" experiments to prove and quantify the effect of optimisation

Basic Qualifications

  • Written and spoken fluency in English
  • Currently enrolled or graduated in the last 6 months in a Masters or Bachelors degree
  • Availability to work 6 months full time in 2021 starting September/October
  • Business Insight: Understanding and being fully aware of how our business operates and how it makes money and sustains profitable growth, now and in the future
  • Communication: Using communication skills and situational awareness to clearly deliver information to a variety of audiences
  • Planning and Organization: Setting up and maintaining systems to appropriately structure and keep track of tasks and projects
  • Problem Solving: Effectively resolving issues that involve people, things, and processes by using logic and common sense
  • Stakeholder Management: Taking time to build helpful relationships; earning the trust of others within the organization through strong situational awareness and reliability
  • Teamwork: Demonstrates optimism, respects others and works well in a team
  • Experience with SQL
  • Working rights in UK (No sponsorship available)

Preferred Qualifications

  • A prior internship experience working in a startup, tech company, or any kind of operations internship
