We are looking for a motivated student with a passion for systems programming to join our System Capabilities team in Stratford-upon-Avon, UK.

You will be working on Unity's public API and Editor UI, adding features that enable our customers to easily and efficiently bring their projects to as many users, on as many platforms as possible! You will have the opportunity to gain practical experience working on the latest gaming platforms, use industry-standard algorithms and practices, and be involved in designing and implementing cross-platform support for a varied array of functionality.

We want you to be a part of our team and contribute to the success of Unity by developing new features or improving our existing ones.

This is an 11 month paid placement starting in summer 2022. Our office location in Stratford-upon-Avon is not accessible by public transport so you must have access to a vehicle.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Study the requirements of hardware platforms that Unity supports
  • Implement new cross-platform features or build upon existing ones to improve them
  • Work with other teams to ensure customers are successful using Unity for their projects
  • Learn how to be performance-minded by profiling, analysing and optimising both existing and new code

About you

  • You must be currently studying at a Bachelor level and looking for a placement year starting summer 2022
  • Experience writing and debugging C# code
  • Basic understanding of data science and OOP concepts
  • Our office in Stratford-upon-Avon is not accessible by public transport so you must have access to a vehicle.

You might also have

  • Experience using Unity
  • Experience with other programming languages, especially C++.
