The A Side: A Day in The Life
Your day can range from helping to promote one of our artist’s latest global hits across Universal Music UK’s social media platforms to interviewing colleagues for inclusion in our weekly internal newsletter. With our calendar of internal events always growing, you will work across the business to help curate and promote flagship events for the company including World Environment Day, Black History Month, Pride and Mental Health Awareness Week just to name a few.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be administrative
- General assistance for the Universal Music UK communications department
- Assist with generating content for weekly internal newsletter including newsgathering, interviewing, and writing copy
- Monitoring umusic “contact” inbox/@umusicuk and assisting with replies
Be digital
- Assist with generating content for umusic.co.uk website (written and AV), completing daily/weekly updates of the site
- Assist with generating and maintaining activity across Universal Music UK’s social media platforms
Person Specification
- Passionate and knowledgeable about music
- People person – must be able to get on with everyone across the business, from junior team members to the chairman, with the confidence to make contacts and be an ambassador for the communications team – internally and externally
- A confident, accurate writer
- Excellent communication skills in person, via email, social media and on the phone
- Detailed knowledge and experience of social media
- Demonstrable interest in the media
- AV/photographic skills desirable
