The A Side: A Day in The Life

A chance to work for the iconic Island Records at their head office in London in an exciting frontline role, working in the Commerce/Streaming department. A great opportunity to work on campaigns for global superstar acts such as Drake, Mumford & Sons, U2, Ariana Grande, ArrDee, Sigrid, Lola Young and many others. The role will involve working closely with all departments across the label.

The B Side: Skills & Experience

  • Assisting the Senior Streaming & Commerce manager with regular clear analysis, reporting and forecasting on track/album consumption across streaming platforms, physical retail and digital download partners
  • Assisting the Senior Streaming & Commerce manager by constantly analysing playlist eco-systems on digital business partners and helping to provide the label with regular updates on developments
  • Co-ordinate meetings, tickets for gigs, travel and helping the team with general administration
  • Liaise with the Universal Commercial Division, keeping them and our key digital business partners, abreast of the latest news with all Island releases
  • Work closely with our Marketing team to ensure our Artists and Management are kept abreast of their track/album performance in the streaming space
  • Keep across trends and competitor activity across the market
  • Helping to compile presentations on Island releases/campaigns

Person Specification

Necessary

  • Highly organised
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Passionate about music with a desire to work and progress in the industry
  • Self-motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic
  • A track record of working to strict deadlines and maintaining a high standard of attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • A good understanding of the music streaming market and streaming trends
  • Proven computer literacy with a logical approach to system usage
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Desirable

  • Experience in ‘music’ or commerce sector (personal or professional)
  • Experience of analysing data / analytics to spot trends (personal or professional)
  • Demonstrable experience of working with key digital business partners
