What you’ll do 

As a Technology Graduate you will gain an unrivalled insight into the workings of the business and have an incredible opportunity to develop a wide range of technical skills whilst beginning a fulfilling and rewarding long term career with us.

Before settling into your permanent ‘home’ role in one of our Technology teams you’ll complete a structured 18-month development programme with the following rotations.

  • Verastar & our Technology Teams (6-months) – start building your core technical skills by spending time with Technology and ‘End User’ teams to gain understanding of how technology is used by Verastar. 
  • Technology & business change (6-months) – shadowing a major business change project to understand how technology drives our growth.
  • Developing your career specialism (6-months) - focused development in a defined ‘home’ team role to ready yourself for a future long-term role. The teams include: 
    • Information Security 
    • IT Service Delivery  
    • IT Operations 
  • 3 business projects – working with senior business leaders and other Graduates on the scheme, the projects will give you the opportunity to demonstrate your technical skills and abilities and directly impact change in the Company.

Qualifications and other requirements

If you have a Computer Science / IT degree discipline, with a minimum 2:1 result (or 2:2 if you have a master’s degree or higher). We’d also love to hear from anyone with a minimum of 12-months experience in an IT role looking to develop their skills further.  we want to hear from you. In addition, you will need to show the following:

  • Understanding and experience of working with one or more of the following;  
    • Office 365 including SharePoint 
    • Information Security and Risk Management  
    • Identity Management  
    • IT Service Management (ITSM) 
  • Confidence, enthusiasm, and a drive to succeed in a business environment 
  • Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail 
  • Organisation, time management, and problem-solving skills 
  • A team focus and ability to communicate at all levels, from front line staff to Company Directors 
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and desire to support the future growth of the business 
  • Eligibility to live and work permanently in the UK

Our newly refurbished HQ is based in the heart of Sale Moor Village next to Sale Water Park. We’re only a stone’s throw away from the M60 and just a short 5-minute walk from the Airport Metro Link line and Sale Town Centre.
