Joining the Business Development team, you will work in a growth-delivering and exciting environment with a motivated team to support you.

As a BDR (Business Development Representative) Intern you will have the chance to get a deep understanding of different sales and marketing motions and how to build strategic partnerships as being close and involved to all aspects of such job profile when working close with the team members in a multi-national organisation.

Success in the Role

What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work towards completing?

  • During your first 30 days you will meet the wider Business Development and Marketing team members and start to build relations with them whilst understanding their particular business.
  • You will become familiar with the systems and processes used by the BDR team and get understanding of the IT market landscape.
  • Within 90 days you will be managing some of the BDR support functions including lead generation, reporting and working on marketing events.
  • Within 180 days you will be a marketing advocate & partner to internal organizations to both facilitate and understand complex Business Developmet & Marketing issues.
  • Within 360 days along with the above, you will design, develop and execute marketing campaigns, customer interaction and professional development.

You will also be required to attend BDR, Sales and Marketing meetings throughout the 12 months. These can be either in person or virtual.

The Work

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

The relevant role is defined as a BDR assistant role, within a complex and very fast moving vertical. It is best described as a mixture of:

  • Customer personas – understanding of the IT market landscape and definition of potential customers
  • Marketing Support – organize and prioritize responsibilities effectively in order to meet deadlines including excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • EMEA Business Dev. Team Support – to support the EMEA Business Development team and Marketing Managers  in all activities aimed to design, develop and execute 2022 sales programs, campaigns, customer interaction, and professional development
  • Sales & Marketing Advocate – to ensure compliance of VMware BDR & Marketing metrics and key performance indices. Be a marketing advocate & partner to internal organizations to both facilitate and understand complex sales issues

You will be given the chance to dig into the details of the EMEA Commercial and Enterprise market, understanding its specialities and using this knowledge to support your team.

Based on this you will be an essential contributor within our Business Development team.

With her team and the extendend BDR team which is distributed across different countries, She is responsible for Business Development activities in EMEA region.
