What you need

  • A 2.2 in your chosen degree (achieved or predicted). We look for graduates with analytical, numeric or data focused degrees e.g. Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Data or Science.
  • Recently graduated – i.e. a bachelors or masters obtained or to be obtained between September 2020 and August 2022.
  • You must also have the correct right to work documentation in place for the full programme duration. We do not accept the Graduate Route Visa.

*Remote working options: Vodafone is transforming – in the way we work & how we work. Our offices are now used as a hub for collaboration, co-creation & even concentration spaces. Across most our roles, we expect our employees to be following a blended approach to working with a 60-40 split, the majority being at home. What to expect

Numbers tell a story too and, on the Finance programme you will be the storyteller who enables our people to make the best commercial decisions. Using your natural analytical abilities that give valuable insights, you will support functions across the business, senior leaders and key stakeholders leveraging on your financial expertise and strategic mindset. The Discover Finance Programme will provide you with a breadth of experience in a wide range of roles, allowing you to explore the world of Finance and find the areas you enjoy and excel in, whilst developing transferable skills. You could find yourself partnering with the business or using technology to deliver financial value working in teams across our Group and local entities such as Data & Analytics, Commercial and Technology Finance , Vodafone Business Finance , Regional Finance, Internal Audit, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, Mergers & Acquisition as well as Finance Operations and Controls. Whichever team you join, you’ll have a seat at the table and the ability to shape the future direction of Vodafone.

What we’re looking for

  • Analytical mind-set, comfortable with numbers and a strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to demonstrate a real passion for analysis and all things finance related;
  • Commercially savvy;
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and hunger for development;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;

There are 2 sub-streams on this programme for you to choose from, and we’ll ask for your preference when you apply. The two programmes differ primarily in duration and location. Descriptions of each can be found below, please choose what is right for you.

Vodafone UK Finance – Newbury-based, 3-year programme

This is a 3-year programme supporting the UK entity. It will enable you to study for and complete your fully-funded CIMA qualification through a Level 7 apprenticeship. Working across three, one year-long placements, you will gain experience in teams across Finance that will complement your learning and bring it to life. All roles will be based in our Newbury HQ campus for the duration of the programme, though please note that during COVID-19 employees will be working remotely.

Vodafone Group Finance – London or Newbury-based, 2-year programme

This is a 2-year programme based within our Vodafone Group entity. You will have the opportunity to study towards your fully-funded CIMA qualification whilst working in a range of Group functions supporting teams across our global footprint. Across the 2 year programme you will have two 6-month placements and a final year-long placement designed to help you gain experience in a range of teams that complement your learning and bring it to life. The roles will be based in both our Newbury and London Paddington campus, as such Graduates are expected to be flexible and able to work in both locations.

Whatever your degree is or wherever your passion lies, you’ll have the freedom to experience different rotations and projects, so you can discover what you enjoy the most.
