We are seeking interested applicants to have achieved or be expected to achieve an Economics, Maths or Finance related degree – that’s it! No prior experience needed. Key skills/attributes that we’d be looking for from the successful candidate are:

  • Numerate and good with spreadsheets and data modelling.
  • An eye for detail
  • The ability to review and challenge.
  • Interest in learning more about the water industry and utility regulation, using knowledge and skills to support the company's approach.

Your Graduate scheme

Working in a small team of economists and accountants this role will see you helping to set the annual charges to around 1.5 million customers for their water and wastewater services, and also for other services we provide including connections for new developments.

You’ll be supporting the analysis and reporting of around £1 billion in revenue each year. This will see you contributing to the Company's business plan and engagement with the industry regulators.

The role will be based in our South-East Wales offices, with a hybrid approach to home and office-based working.

Good to know

Your graduate scheme will primarily be based South-East Wales. However, on occasions and with notice you may be expected to travel to sites across the whole of Wales and its borders.

Recruitment process: we are running our adverts until December 8th. Should your application meet our criteria, you’ll be sent a short assessment to complete. The second stage of assessment will be an in-person assessment centre, which likely take place at a location in Cardiff between February/March 2025.
