We are looking for graduates with a flexible approach and an appetite to learn in a leading global consultancy. You will be enjoy working in a collaborative environment and can apply your skills whilst working with a diverse range of clients and projects.  You will join an enthusiastic and supportive team and will experience a challenging and fulfilling working environment.  We will support your development through enrolment onto an appropriate professional body training agreement enabling you to progress to chartered or incorporated status.

What might you do in a typical week? 

  • Working within multi-discipline project teams helping us deliver effective and professional services
  • Interacting with waste water network engineers who will provide guidance and review as you: 
  • Collate data and documentation to be used on projects
  • Analyse spatial network data
  • Construct and verify hydraulic models
  • Carry out investigation studies using hydraulic models to identify risks, and support waste water network improvements and investment planning
  • Develop design solutions using various hydraulic modelling design tools and G.I.S packages
  • Build, maintain and manage strong and collaborative working relationships with clients
  • Contribute to our culture of continual improvement to drive efficiency and innovation
  • Supporting senior engineers and project managers in client (internal or external) discussions during coordination meetings, progress updates or project reviews
  • Ensuring quality of outputs and compliance with standards, specifications and governance requirements

What about qualifications and experience?

You will hold, or be expecting to graduate this year with one of the following (or equivalent) qualifications:

  • BEng Civil Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering BSc Water and Wastewater Engineering or BSc Geography 
  • MEng Civil Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, MSc Water and Wastewater Engineering or MSc Geography

Some experience is desirable but not necessary.  However, we would like to know if you can demonstrate:

  • A positive and proactive approach
  • A good technical understanding of waste water networks 
  • Respect for your own and others safety and to act in a safe manner
  • Some knowledge of waste water modelling tools and software such as InfoWorks ICM, Micro Drainage, MapInfo /ArcGIS, but not essential
  • Some knowledge of Python or Ruby scripting, but not essential
