Overview - Ford

VML is one of the lead marketing communications agencies for Ford Motor Company across Europe. Working within a wider WPP team with other key WPP OpCos, we are responsible for the development of Ford's marketing strategy and communications plan. Our Ford client is in the midst of an exciting marketing transformation, shifting from traditional brand-focused approaches to a dynamic, CRM and performance-led strategy aimed at driving sales growth.

We're specifically looking for a self-motivated and detail focused designer, to work closely with our CRM team in a fast paced and highly collaborative environment. With a solid foundation in visual design, you'll have experience creating digital materials, from website assets to social assets and CRM layouts.

Taking and translating design system and brand elements into our designs.You will also be required to help with Presentations and simple image manipulation. A keen eye for clean and simple imagery and superior layout and composition is a must.

On a day-to-day basis, you'll be working closely with the CRM team, strategists, experience designers and writers so an open and positive approach to working with other disciplines is essential.

Key responsibilities

  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to delivery.
  • Help conceptualise original ideas from briefing documents.
  • Execute designs across multiple formats against clear art direction.
  • Work to design guidelines, best practices and standards defined by senior design leaders.
  • Help define and guard growing design systems across multiple application work streams.
  • Support design team in creating assets for cross discipline creative including, mobile, web, brand communications and content.
  • Create beautiful, compelling presentations templates and documents againstinternal client requirements
  • Work in cross-disciplinary project to deliver outstanding design.
  • Seek to stay current with latest design trends, seeking new opportunities to create unique visualisations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as an all-rounder Designer (Digital) for 1-2 years.
  • A working knowledge of Figma.
  • Experience creating marketing materials for live brands.
  • Strong portfolio of key projects delivered, calling out your role on the project, deliverables, responsibilities and successes achieved.
  • Some familiarity with the technical considerations needed when designing content for mobile and web.
  • Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • High proficiency in Adobe creative suite.
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint & Keynote.
  • Worked within collaborative, cross-functional teams to deliver multiple, successful projects
  • Positive and open attitude to new design techniques.
  • Excellent typography and layout skills, with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Interest in photography and photographic retouching a bonus
