The Junior Document Controller will provide support to the Document Controller by undertaking document control tasks in accordance with WSP and Project Specific procedures. This is an exciting opportunity to work on major UK infrastructure projects demonstrating good time management adhere to the agreed standards. You will be a gatekeeper, working within a project team who you will be liaise with to ensure the correct documents are sent to the client and that our internal records match these submissions. A quality checklist must be followed prior to all documentation reaching the client to ensure that it adheres to the established controlled processes and practices. Consistency and transparency are key to maintain good relationships within the team and the client.

A typical week would include

  • Issue documentation to the client within a deadline
  • Adhere to all internal and external requirements and procedures
  • Maintain high standards of quality control
  • Retrieve documentation on request of project teams and client
  • File digital documents in their correct locations
  • Maintain confidentiality around sensitive documentation
  • Ensuring that the Document Control register is updated
  • Distribution of documents to relevant people / organisations
  • Progress reporting on the document’s status
  • Numbering & identification of documents
  • Quality & compliance checks on documents
  • Adhere to GDPR regulations

We'd love to hear from you if you have

  • Graduate in Business Administration or similar further education courses
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to multitask
  • Open to flexible working hours
  • Capability to demonstrate the ability to work under tight time frames
  • Self starter requiring minimum guidance
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proficient with typing and editing
  • Strong data organisation skills
