About us

The University of Nottingham Negotiation Society is a society of diverse individuals from both legal and non-legal disciplines. The Negotiation Society offers the chance for all students – from beginners to seasoned veterans – to develop key negotiating techniques and business etiquette, while providing a platform for students to showcase their innovation and teamwork. Since its establishment in 2012, the Negotiation Society has successfully organised annual Autumn and Spring Competitions, entered its members into the National Student Negotiation Competition and arranged workshops that seek to advance the standard of negotiation within the University of Nottingham.

Our goals

As a society, we aim to:

Provide excellent opportunities for students with a passion for negotiation to broaden their horizons, and cultivate this key skill through workshops, guest speakers and competitions.
Ensure that experiences with the Negotiation Society are ones with positive take-aways in terms of personal development and making lasting friendships.
Promote diversity and inclusivity for all members and create a welcoming atmosphere for all members, regardless of prior experience.
Foster collaboration with other societies in the country.
