Seyon Indran

Degree Subject: Economics

Graduation Year: 2019

About me: I am a third year Economist studying at the University of Southampton, and am keen to pursue a career in sales & trading or management consultancy. Having been a member of the Bright Network for 2 years, I have attended a variety of their events. All of which have been incredibly helpful to me as they provided insights into interesting careers and industries I was eager to explore. I would therefore like to leverage my position as Co-Chairman of the Southampton Economics Society and the relationships that I have built, to highlight the benefits of joining the Bright Network throughout campus.

Holly Cooper

Degree: Economics and Finance

Graduation year:  2019

About me: I am a driven and motivated individual who works hard to achieve the things I want. However in my spare time I enjoy travelling and exploring new places, be it a new country or a small British town somewhere nearby. As well as this, I try to keep fit and have played a varied range of sports, from gymnastics to lacrosse.

Favourite thing about the bright network:Bright Network isn't just another company advertising loads of opportunities at you, adding to the existing pressure of being  a student. Bright Network provides you with information tailored to your needs.

Sophie Doyle

Degree Subject: Law

Graduation Year: 2021

About me: I am a second year Law student at the University of Southampton and am keen to pursue a career in the commercial sector. I have been a member of the Bright Network for two years and always use the monthly commercial awareness updates when preparing for interviews and networking events, which I have found incredibly helpful. I am on the committee for RAG which is the fundraising branch of the union and work as a student fundraiser for the university during term time. I was lucky enough to do some pro bono work for JENGbA, the charity promoting reform of the law of joint enterprise, in their national appeal project this year. I plan to continue affecting change in the community through outreach work I will be doing for MORR which will involve meeting young people and educating them about their rights.

Favourite thing about Bright Network: I think the Bright Network is brilliant because it empowers students from all backgrounds to take advantage of opportunities to improve their employability and further their career prospects. Having a network of motivated, like-minded people is so helpful to career discovery and creates a supportive environment.
