About Nana: In 2016, I was crowned ‘Miss Popularity’ in the Miss Africa Great Britain beauty pageant. This title meant that I was not only representing Ghana, my country of origin, but Africa as a whole. During this time, I was exposed to the impact of the disconnection that lied between the Ghanaian diaspora, and the Ghanaians living within their homeland. This sparked my interest in Ghanaian affairs and the importance of implementing new ways to facilitate a conversation between the two groups in initiating a socio-economic and political transformation of the country. I am currently working on various projects which aims to attract the full participation of Ghanaian’s living abroad into schemes structured towards the development of the country. I am not only passionate about the innovation of Ghana but am also an ardent supporter of women empowerment and women rights, which has led me to dedicate my blog, ‘Exhale’ towards the promotion of leadership within young girls, as well as entrepreneurships within the Black community. Additionally, I have created mentoring schemes tailored to aiding young females in materialising their visions and aspirations. This is done by connecting them with leaders within industries of the interest.
Favourite thing about Bright Network: Bright network has given me direct access to organisations and firms which seemed inaccessible at first thought. From attending various events, I have been able to develop strong connections and expand my networks within various industries. Bright Network also provides a vibrant and authentic community, headed by an actively helpful team who seek to provide members with all that is necessary to make each individual student successful.
