Rosie Boyce

Degree Subject: History

Graduation Year: 2020

About me: I am currently in my third year of a History degree at Bristol University. I love meeting new people so I'm really looking forward to organising some great events during my second year as a Campus Ambassador! My main career interest is in financial services, and over the summer I completed an internship in Barclays Private Bank & Overseas Services. Alongside my degree, I’m heavily involved with the University’s A Cappella Society, as the Musical Director of our all-female group Pitch Fight, and as the society’s Vice President.

Favourite thing about Bright Network: The weekly commercial awareness updates are my favourite part of Bright Network. These are a quick and easy way of keeping up to date with the major commercial issues each week, and I often use these to direct my research before interviews. They also provide a great breadth of information, so allow me to increase my awareness across the commercial world rather than just my chosen sector which much of my research is concentrated on.

Charlotte Wailes-Fairbairn

Degree Subject: Social Policy

Graduation Year: 2020

About Charlotte: I am going into my third year at the University of Bristol, studying Social Policy. Right now, I’m trying to explore my career options as much as possible; I’m currently doing legal work experience. At university, I’ve really enjoyed getting involved with marketing and social media management, for different societies, and so I’m very excited to start my role as a Campus Champion!

Favourite thing about Bright Network: Attending one of Bright Network's events is a great way to discover the different careers and opportunities that are out there! My first interaction with Bright Network was the Women in Leadership event. It was inspiring to be able to meet so many employers face to face and definitely helped me get a stronger sense of what career path I should go down. The idea of choosing a career can easily be overwhelming, but Bright Network offers unparalleled support and opportunities, making the process less daunting and more exciting.
