What if I haven’t received the content to get started?
You should receive all of the content you need and instructions on 10th July. If you don’t, make sure you’ve checked alternative or junk folders - it could be there.
Can I take part if I miss the application deadline?
Unfortunately not. If you haven’t applied to any of the streams by 5th July at 11.59pm, you cannot take part. There's still the opportunity to boost your skills online with the Bright Network Academy.
If I’m struggling to complete my work sample, what do I do?
Don’t worry - do the best you can. You can research on the internet and possibly ask others for support. The work sample is very much to give you a chance to understand the type of work you will do in a particular sector and build experience - there’s no pass or fail. With that, the helpdesk can’t unfortunately support you completing the work.
What’s the On Demand submission deadline? Can I have a deadline extension?
As you’ll see in the instructions, the deadline for is 21st July. However, we do recommend you get your work in with plenty of time.
On extensions, unfortunately this is a hard deadline and we do not allow extensions for any reason.
If I have accessibility requirements, what should I do?
We want to enable as many students as possible to complete this internship experience. If you have accessibility requirements, please get in touch with the Internship Experience UK team at ieuk@brightnetwork.co.uk and they will be able to support you.
Can I complete more than one experience?
Absolutely, but you would have had to apply for them before the deadline on 5th July. If you have and complete the sample work and self-reflection form for each, you would have completed multiple streams.
Is there networking?
Unfortunately, with the On Demand experience we cannot offer networking opportunities through the Bright Network platform. With everyone doing the experience at different times, we are unable to coordinate it.
When will I get the certificate?
You need to have submitted both the work sample and the self-reflection form. Once that has happened you will be eligible for a certificate, but the Bright Network team will be checking through - all certificates will be sent to you soon after the experience finishes.
Can I share posts about the internship experience on LinkedIn?
Of course you can. We always enjoy hearing what you thought and it's a great way to show employers that you're being proactive. However, if you're tagging in individuals who gave talks or companies, make sure you double check you've got the right account before posting it.
