After finishing university, I tried a lot of different jobs: from teaching Norwegian and French, to scrubbing toilets in a youth hostel. I started as an Analyst at TPP in March 2016. Despite having no prior experience of healthcare or IT, I immediately saw that this was a place where I could build a career. The work is varied and engaging, providing new challenges and opportunities to learn almost every day. It allows me to use the skills I gained at university in a practical and meaningful way.
The flat hierarchy means that I feel able to share my opinion and discuss ideas with my colleagues, both within the Analyst team and across the rest of the company. In the office there is a real atmosphere of working together towards a common goal, so everyone is willing to lend a hand to one another. Though it may sound daunting to be given a high level of responsibility so early on in your career, your colleagues are always supportive, and if you ever need help you feel comfortable asking questions about anything and everything.
Outside of the working day, regular social activities such as pub Fridays have provided me with the chance to get to know the fantastic people I work with. This means that I genuinely look forward to seeing them each day.
By far my favourite thing about working at TPP is feeling like I have a positive impact on people’s lives. There is nothing more motivating than knowing that what you do has real value.
