Securing a graduate role with Capgemini - Top tips from Nessa, a Business Analyst

Created on 6 Jun 2017

Nessa recently secured a role as a Business Analyst for Capgemini, after hearing about the role through a Bright Network email. She took the time to tell us about her application and the upcoming role, which starts in September.

What drew you to a graduate role at Capgemini?

Part of the reason I’m so drawn to Capgemini is because of their reputation. They are one of the top technology and outsourcing consultancy firms that have been responsible for multiple system successes for organisations such as RBS, Network Rail and many more. I chose this role as it allowed me to continue my interests during my degree of studying Business Information Systems.

What was the toughest part of the application process? And your favourite part?

The toughest part was the assessment centre where there were interviews and group exercises, although everyone was really friendly and helped me to relax. My favourite part was being able to see the offices as well as networking with the other candidates.

Were you surprised by anything in the process?

I was surprised at how relaxed the environment was during the assessment day as the interviewers were really friendly and not intimidating at all. I had assumed they would be a lot more daunting that they ended up being.

What three top tips would you give your fellow Bright Network members?

Research about the company, think of the candidates as friends working together and be yourself!
