We recently caught up with Chloe about how she secured a Quality Graduate Programme with Pilgrim Food Masters, her top tips for the application process and how Bright Network helped her secure the role.
How would you describe your time on the graduate programme so far?
So far, it’s been very good and can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.
What type of university degree did you do?
I studied food nutrition and business management.
How did you find the assessment process?
I think I had overthought the whole process, so I had the worst-case scenarios in my head. When I had to do the assessment, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. It was well structured and planned that the two days flew by, and it was over before I knew it. The snacks package we received was a bonus.

What would your advice to future grads be?
Be yourself and trust your instincts. Listen to your managers, take all their advice and be curious and ask lots of questions.
What kind of development have you received?
I have been given a mentor with the graduate programme. I meet with him every month and I am constantly getting advice and if I ever have any issues, I can always reach out to him. We also completed a development module with IGD and have a book club. It’s interesting to see various views of one book.
What kinds of things do you do with the team for fun?
We was really lucky to all take part in the Cultural event in Dublin. It was an amazing experience and was nice to finally meet all the other graduates in person.
How did you prepare for the interview process?
I spent days searching up the company and studying the values. My college lecturer had recommended me to go for the graduate programme and he gave me tips and advice for the interview process.
Has anything surprised you about the company?
I think the culture event in Dublin was an eye opener. It was nice that the company held an event just to promote the values of the company to create a good culture to work in. There was no strategy or business agenda just values and their people.
How would you describe the culture?
The culture is very supportive. We all have been given mentors and we have each other to talk to if we are struggling or need advice.
