Securing a graduate Analyst role with AIG - Top tips from Cindy

Created on 31 Oct 2017

Cindy, an International Political Economy undergraduate at the University of Birmingham, has successfully secured a place on AIG’s Graduate Scheme as a Gradate Analyst. We had a chat with Cindy to hear all about it.

Why did you choose AIG?

I chose AIG because their graduate programme offered lots of different rotations throughout the business, which I felt would give me a variety of opportunities within the firm.

Were you surprised by anything in the application process?

I’ve been through a lot of different application processes, so the AIG application process didn’t surprise me – it was a very standard process for a graduate role.

What top tip would you give your fellow Bright Network members?

Make sure you thoroughly understand the firm you’re applying to. Do your research and prepare yourself in terms of what is going on in the firm’s industry. This will be particularly important in corporate interviews and in the essay style answers you have to give for the online application form.
