Missed out on Careers & Wellbeing Week 2023?

We've got you covered - you can find all the exclusive resources and advice just here, on the Career & Wellbeing Hub.

According to the Office for National Statistics, 45% of students reported that their mental health had gotten worse since the start of the autumn term and 50% of students are experiencing financial difficulty. In the midst of the cost of living crisis, whether studying or in work, it's more important than ever to have the skills and resources needed to take care of your wellbeing.

That's why we're committed to helping you find balance by focusing on three key areas; how to look after your career, how to look after yourself physically and how to look after your mental health.

What is Careers & Wellbeing Week?

We’re glad you asked! Careers & Wellbeing Week happens once a year every February and is a week-long celebration of championing and taking care of yourself in your career.

This year #CWW2023 took place on the 13th-19th February and, as part of this, we’ve curated the very best content for you with practical advice to navigate your career whilst putting yourself first.

Other ways to get involved: Walk for Words with Bookmark

This year we've partnered with Bookmark who share in our mission to champion wellbeing. Bookmark was started in 2018 with the goal to help every child to read. A child who reads 1-2 times a week will hear 58,908 more words by the time they're five years old than a child who doesn't read. That's why we're taking part in Walk for Words - an initiative to prioritise physical wellbeing this week by individually walking 58,908 steps while raising money for a great cause!

Help us walk 58,908 steps - get involved

It's easy to get involved with Walk for Words this week - we're encouraging all friends and members of Bright Network to get involved by stepping away from your desks and taking time to look after your physical wellness this week, or support us and donate to Bookmark.

Why not do a workout session with your friends or simply go for a walk around your neighbourhood? Support this incredible cause while increasing your mental alertness, energy and mood.
