Air Charter Service is a Global leader in chartering aircraft. The Commercial Jets team specialises in arranging group charters for a variety of industries, such as Sports teams, Musicians, events companies and many other Blue chips organisations.

We have an exciting, year long opportunity for an undergrad student looking to gain work experience in sales within the Commercial Jets world.

Job Description

The purpose of this placement is to assist the brokers in our Commercial Jets division. You will be responsible for assisting with ad-hoc administration and tasks all whilst learning first-hand what goes into ensuring a Commercial Jets charter is carried out to the highest of standards. Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting brokers with their portfolio of clients
  • Developing an expert understanding of the Commercial aircraft and chartering process
  • Liaising with clients, airlines and airports
  • Assisting the broker with charter bookings from enquiry to post-flight report
  • Flight watching/overseeing flight departures and flight repping
  • Ad hoc administration tasks

The placement

  • Duration: 12 months, starting anytime from June - September 2024
  • Based at our London HQ
  • Due to the nature of the industry, working hours will vary but predominantly 09:00 - 17:30 Monday-Friday
  • Training will be provided
  • Travel opportunities will be given

Qualifications

Key skills & experience

  • The successful candidate must be working towards a degree in Aviation, Airline, Airport or Business Management
  • An interest in sales and / or aviation is essential
  • Previous experience working in a customer facing role
  • Hardworking and flexible (this is simply not a 9-5)
  • Exceptional communication skills, fluency in a second language is an advantage
  • Excellent problem solving
  • Strong resilience with the ability to thrive working under pressure
  • Must live within a commutable distance to the job location
  • Drivers License desirable
