As a dedicated Sustainability Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting HP’s mission to become the most sustainable and just IT company globally.

The role

Your responsibility will be to ensure that our sustainability initiatives align with the strategic objectives of the Scottish Government framework. You’ll be based locally in Scotland, working closely with the account team and stakeholders to drive positive impact within the community.

Working with the Public Sector Lead, and supporting the Account Managers driving Print and End User Compute projects with Scottish customers, you will be closely aligned to driving strategic sustainability projects for these customers, using your initiative to generate demand with them.

These projects will hopefully create lasting benefits to the recipient communities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sustainability information to customers.
  • Report to key internal and public sector stakeholders.
  • Liaise closely with the UK&I sustainability team to ensure continuity of messaging.
  • Understand customer sustainability goals and objectives in reaching Net Zero goals.
  • Contribute to tailoring solutions for sustainable procurement.
  • Working alongside the team to increase customer orders and achieve quota.

Education and experience

  • University or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Typically, 1-3 years of selling experience.
  • Experience developing positive relationships and solving customer problems.

Knowledge and skills

  • Basic understanding of the IT industry, competing vendors/ manufacturers
  • Basic understanding of HP’s organization.
  • Basic understanding of a specific set of HP's products, software, and services. Able to communicate the strengths of HP's offerings and overcome objections.
  • Develops account plans with the account team to grow HP's share of the business.
  • Partners effectively with others to ensure coordinated, efficient account management.
  • Basic understanding of pipeline management.
