About the role
As a Reporter, you will be researching, writing, producing, and presenting news items. You will be covering artificial intelligence regulation in the UK. We work on deep-dive analyses of legislation to anticipate where regulatory problems may lie. You will break market-moving news while offering the forward-looking analysis.
Responsibilities
- Conducting research and interviews, turning around urgent copy
- Identifying stories that appeal to the readership. Use expertise to write in-depth, big impact investigations and commentary pieces
- Supporting Senior Journalists and Editors by researching news stories or preparing information for coverage
- Solving routine problems using existing procedures and standard practices
Requirements
- Have great reporting, media or publishing industry experience or knowledge
- Understand or interest in AI
- Be able to demonstrate great research and writing skills
- Have a Bachelor’s in Journalism or related field, or equivalent experience
- Use of European languages

We are a truly global business that serves customers in North America, Continental Europe, the UK, Asia and Latin America. MLex operates out of various offices around the world including London, Brussels, Washington D.C., Hong Kong, San Francisco and Sao Paulo.
The successful candidate will be expected to work in our central London office at least two days a week under our post-Covid hybrid working policy; the other three days may be worked from home (accurate as of April 2024, subject to revision)
