As a Graduate Project Engineer, you will work in the Project Management Department while engaging with a variety of other departments designed to develop your capabilities whilst exposing you to different aspects of real-world engineering and project delivery.

You will have an individual training plan to aid you in developing the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. At the end of the program, you will be equipped with excellent knowledge to support you for your professional career within Siemens Energy!

How you'll make an impact

  • Develop your knowledge of Project Scope Definition, Project Control, Project Programming and Financial & commercial astuteness
  • Be a valued member within a team of Entry Level Talent (Apprentices/Interns/Graduates) to participate in the business improvement projects. The scope of these projects will provide you with valuable team working and presentation skills.

What you bring

  • Graduated with a 2:1 degree or above in an engineering discipline.
  • Are flexible, know how to connect with others and pride yourself on bringing positive, bright ideas to the team
  • Feel comfortable working and reporting at all levels of a multidisciplinary team
  • Enjoy jumping in and, with support from us, feel confident taking responsibility for tasks and projects you’ve been assigned
  • Have an eye for detail and know how to make the right call

About the team

You will work within one of our Project Management Teams reporting directly to the Project Manager responsible for one, or more projects, for a customer. This will involve working with Senior Project Engineers and Project Engineers in the team to deliver in line with the Customer’s and Siemens Energy’s expectations.

You will also engage with the wider team within the Heaton office covering various departments from Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Tendering and Commercial. You will also have the opportunity engage directly in meetings with the customer at their offices and our site based teams at our construction sites to provide the broadest of experience.
