“We want our team to flourish, as not only does it leave them fulfilled, but it benefits the practice and clients, too. If they have a specific niche or talent, we will nurture that talent as well as encourage new skills.”

The team

Having recently taken on the ownership of Swindon Bridgemead Vets for Pets, Ana and Karen are now looking to welcome a passionate Graduate Veterinary Surgeon to join our growing team. Each member of the team was nominated for the Pet Plan Awards this year and with our Head Receptionist Hayley having been with the practice since day one and receiving a steady stream of compliments from our clients, you’ll be in safe hands!

You’ll be working alongside Ana (MRCVS) who originally graduated from veterinary school in her native Spain in 2008 and came to the UK in 2010. As well as an interest in ultrasonography and internal medicine, has 15 years’ experience, 3 of which are in referral.

The role

Our award-winning, 2-year programme is designed by vets to give new graduates like you, the best possible start to your practice career.

Joining one of our network of UK practices, you’ll train on the job with experienced Veterinary Partners and Practice Owners, at a pace that works for you. We’ll find you a role that suits you, in terms of location and culture fit. And, with Vets for Pets and Companion Care practices of all shapes and sizes across the country, there’s a perfect place for everyone!

With our support, and emphasis on your wellbeing, you can realise and maintain your full potential in an environment that encourages a healthy work/life balance too.
You’ll be supported from day one by a dedicated Vet GDP Advisor, as well as the graduate and clinical teams, and online by 1,300+ vets within our clinical community.

You’ll also be able to take paid leave to attend the tailored CPD events we hold. The high-quality events we deliver as part of the programme usually comprise subjects such as practical dentistry, practical surgery, radiography, dermatology, cardiology, and more.

As you build your confidence in caring for pets and their owners, you’ll grow your own client base and see continuity of cases with the support of your wider team. You will have a phased approach to sole charge and better still, when you’ve finished the programme there’s a career waiting for you, either with the practice you trained at or within our wider community/network.
