Tell us a bit about yourself and your journey into law
I studied Law at UCL because I enjoyed legal analysis and I loved how broad of an area it was so I felt that I could keep my options open for the time being. It was at university that I got a glimpse into, and developed an interest in actual legal practice after attending many career events.
What stood out to you about Sidley?
Sidley's global reputation, its small trainee intake, and the people that I met from the firm were all so kind and forthcoming!
What would be your top tip to members going through the application process?
Find out about 3 of the firm's major selling points and what it prides itself on, and delve into that during your research and application. Make sure that these are genuinely things that excite you about working there so that this enthusiasm comes across.
How did you build your commercial awareness before the interview?
Everyone gets rejections, don't let that keep you down! Always get someone else to read your work and be very open to constructive criticism. Take advantage of the great resources that Bright Network has to offer!
