Megan | Life as an Account Manager at Quadmark

Book open Reading time: 2 mins

Megan is an Account Manager at Quadmark. Read more about her story below.

Why Quadmark?

I’m going to tell you something that I haven’t told my manager—I was offered another position at the same time. But it wasn’t a difficult decision. I knew I was meant for Quadmark from the start.

Something that stood out to me was that the hiring process wasn’t stressful or nerve-racking, it was actually quite fun! I looked forward to follow-up interviews and conversations, and everyone was so enthusiastic about their roles and Quadmark in general.

As promised, the last year has been very busy, but very fun! I get to work with such talented people every day to produce the best learning programs for our clients. Everyone is open to new ideas and there’s no such thing as a stupid question—anything is possible here. I’ve never worked with such an agile organisation and I can’t wait to see what new challenges await!

What has been the single most important thing you learnt so far in your job?

Everyone genuinely wants to help and see you do well, so don't be embarrassed to say you don't know something. Quadmarkers want to help. It's not put on. It's just who they are. Try to rid yourself of previous-job-trauma and embrace it here.

What would a ‘normal’ day look like for someone in your role?

Checking things are running smoothly, whilst simultaneously putting out some minor fires. Lots of communication with the different practice teams, and keeping the client in the loop.

What is the culture like?

Relaxed but very busy. Everyone works hard, but no one is too busy to help someone in need. I've never once had the 'Sunday night fear' since working for Quadmark.

How important is diversity/inclusion/accessibility to you and what is Quadmark doing in this space?

DEI & accessibility are tremendously important to me both personally and professionally. Quadmark aren't afraid to say they aren't an expert in something and reach out to the professionals for help. Although I do think we have a few shiny DEI & accessibility gems internally, too.

Any tips for anyone who’d like to apply for a role at Quadmark?

Be yourself, don't try to be what you think we're looking for.
