Zainab | Life as an IT Operations Executive at Quadmark

Book open Reading time: 2 mins

Zainab is an IT Operations Executive working in the Digital Team at Quadmark. Learn more about her below.

I live in Buckinghamshire, London, UK.

Education: Bachelors Computer Application (Major) from Calcutta University, India.

Job Title: IT Operations Executive (Digital Team)

I love to travel and am always excited to try something new, whether it's food, tech, skill or activity.

What is the culture like?

‘An attitude of continuous improvement taking constructive feedback’ - It is a very positive working environment. Everyone here at Quadmark is very friendly and happy to help. Love the work culture as it is very motivating, inclusive, considerate and has flexible working patterns.

How important is diversity/inclusion/accessibility to you and what is Quadmark doing in this space?

I come from an Indian Muslim background which is a minority (born and bought up in Kolkata, India) and getting the feeling of being included is what I have always found hard since I moved to UK about 10+ years ago.

But I’m fortunate to have found a place in Quadmark where I have always felt included. I have colleagues from very diverse ethnic backgrounds based in different locations around the world.

Quadmark has a unique CAARE team who produce timely communications about diverse celebrations that our colleagues indulge in throughout the global team where everyone’s opinion and joys are voiced out.

We also have diversity and inclusion workshops/meets where we have the freedom to discuss or voice our opinions and get help with anything that we are struggling with, which is very helpful from my personal experiences.

Also being a mum and juggling all the responsibilities with work can be hard, but working with Quadmark has been a smooth ride due to all the support and consideration I have received during the hard times. The flexibility given makes me want to go above and beyond and give my best at all times when I am at work.

What has been the single most important thing you learnt so far in your job?

There is always something new to learn and always a challenge ready if you are up for it, which is my favourite part as not being afraid to give it a go is the best way to learn and have valuable experiences which in turns helps us grow into being the best version of ourselves. I love the fact that I get to be a part of all the different departments and help in their projects too. Hence, there is always something exciting and fun to look forward to.
