If the answer is yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Business Support Officer to help support our Health and Adult Services Heads of Service and the wider Business Support Team. There are two roles available, one permanent role and one fixed term to 31 March 2025.

The role

The role as a Business Support Officer, you will provide an efficient and effective support service to a wide variety of team within Health & Adult Services. The role encompasses a wide range of functions including the data collection and inputting, formatting of documents, coordinating diaries and meetings, other general administration tasks. You should be able to undertake minute taking, providing high-level support to meetings and producing an accurate record, to a high standard.

What you will bring

The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, conscientious and flexible to change. To be successful you must be able to demonstrate good use of computer packages, such as Excel and Word, bespoke systems and/or data entry, have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, as well as exceptional customer care skills suitable for dealing with colleagues, clients and stakeholders, and have the ability to problem solve.

You must be able to prioritise your own workload, be conscientious, well-organised, have the ability to work with limited supervision and meet deadlines as well as being flexible in your approach. Accuracy and attention to detail is critical together with a strong commitment to confidentiality and excellent customer service. Experience in minute taking is preferably but not essential as full training will be provided.
