Each year, we recruit 40 talented and ambitious Trainees. Individuals who we believe will make the well-rounded lawyers who will help our firm continue to stand out from the rest.
We use a contextualised recruitment system to ensure we employ people from a variety of backgrounds. The system enables us to understand your achievements in the context in which they were gained. So if you demonstrate real potential but fall slightly short of our criteria, you’ll still be considered. We’ll also take into account any mitigating circumstances relating to a disability or long-term health condition.

We don’t just talk about equality; we take steps to make sure people of all ethnic backgrounds are treated and represented fairly. Pride at Baker McKenzie Open Day
Studies have uncovered the disproportionate stress suffered by members of the LGBT+ community within the workplace caused by the feeling of having to hide their identity at work. We want to change that. Hear the stories of LGBTQ+ lawyers at Baker McKenzie and ask any questions you have. The day includes interactive workshops, practice group overviews, application tips and the opportunity to network with Partners, Associates and Trainee Solicitors.

We’re committed to helping those with disabilities overcome the fears they may face when applying for graduate roles. We’ll give you handy application tips, there’ll be a dedicated session on wellbeing, and just like at every other Open Day, you can take part in interactive workshops and practice group overviews. We have partnered with My Plus Consulting to provide an informative and engaging day.
