About EDF

EDF is a forward-thinking energy company, leading the transition to a cleaner, low emission, electric future and tackling climate change, to ensure a sustainable energy legacy for us and generations to come. We’re generating the right mix of low carbon electricity to power the nation today and building the low carbon infrastructure Britain will need tomorrow. We generate zero carbon electricity from five nuclear power stations and more than thirty onshore wind farms and two offshore wind farms. Since 2009, we have invested almost £8 billion in the nuclear fleet to improve reliability and extend station lifetimes. The five generating stations currently supply about 14% of the UK’s electricity demand.

We are leading the UK's nuclear renaissance with the construction of a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C. We also continue to support a replica plant at Sizewell C in Suffolk, which is now majority owned by the UK government. EDF remains a key shareholder in Sizewell C and the business therefore maintains close links to EDF as a part of its ‘nuclear family’. Once operational, Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C will provide enough low carbon electricity to power around 12 million homes.

EDF is part of EDF Group, the world’s biggest electricity generator. In the UK, we employ around 14,000 people at locations across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, and operational success is supported by our corporate teams across finance, HR, IT and digital, procurement and HR.

We strive to create an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone has a voice and where you feel confident being yourself. We work in partnership with organisations leading the way in making the world a more inclusive and equitable place. This includes our status as a disability confident employer, which means we’ll do all we can to help with your application, making adjustments as you need.
