About Low Carbon Contracts Company

Who we are

Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC) is an operationally independent, not‑for‑profit organisation, wholly owned by the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero.

We deliver government schemes that unlock investment in low‑carbon electricity and protect the security of Great Britain’s energy system, at the lowest possible cost to consumers.

Our unique position lets us bridge government and industry, turning policy ambition into real‑world delivery.

Our impact

We act as counterparty to 500+ Contracts for Difference (CfDs), supporting around 50GW of low‑carbon electricity by 2030, enough to power almost every home in Great Britain.

Graduate opportunities

We’re hiring graduates across two schemes, each lasting two years, with three roles on each: theCommercial Graduate Scheme and the Technical Graduate Scheme.

All graduates who have completed their 2-year rotations were offered a permanent position.
