About us

AOS (Airbus Operating System) is our daily way of working to improve performance.

AOS provides teams with a set of standards (called ‘Bricks’) to manage and improve daily activities through routines that align all Functions.

With a proven impact on performance, they cover all the key aspects that have to be managed in the workplace: Manpower, Machines, Materials, Measurement, Methods (5M) and Environment. AOS defines the best ways of working for all Airbus employees.

Once standards are in place and variability has been reduced, continuous improvement can be applied to raise the performance level.

The aim of ‘Kaizen’ (or ‘change for the better’) is to identify as a team the pain points or opportunities, define action plans and quickly implement solutions.
