Throughout your placement, you will work alongside experienced colleagues, take on real responsibilities and contribute to meaningful projects that complement your academic studies. With hands-on experience, ongoing support and opportunities to develop your professional and technical skills, you will gain valuable insight into working in industry and build experience that will help you stand out as you take the next steps in your career.
Main responsibilities
- Complete a series of structured placements across electrical engineering functions over a one year placement programme.
- Support the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of electrical systems used within semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Contribute to live engineering projects, applying engineering principles to solve technical and operational challenges.
- Produce and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, bills of materials, and associated engineering documentation.
- Assist with system integration, verification, validation, and troubleshooting activities.

- You are currently studying towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and are undertaking an industrial placement as part of your course.
