The opportunity
Data helps us understand the world around us, make better decisions and create better experiences for our customers. At Aviva, you'll use data, analytics and AI to solve real business challenges, uncover opportunities and help shape the future of one of the UK's leading insurers.
Whether you're interested in data science, engineering, analytics, AI or governance, you'll work with large and complex data sets to turn information into meaningful insight. From helping us tackle fraud and understand climate risk to improving customer experiences and supporting smarter decisions, you'll see the impact of your work firsthand.
If you're studying a highly numerate or technology-focused subject, enjoy solving problems and are excited by the possibilities of data, analytics and AI, this could be the pathway for you.
Whatever path you choose, you'll work on live projects, learn from experienced colleagues and help deliver even better experiences for millions of customers.
“I'd honestly say joining Aviva is one of the best career decisions I've made. The culture is fantastic, with a genuine focus on helping people grow and succeed. I love the autonomy we're given to take ownership of our work, explore new ideas and make a meaningful impact, while still having the support of a collaborative team around us. It’s also great to work for a company that embraces innovation and values inclusive teams. ”

The roles
Our Data Governance and Privacy roles are based in Leeds, London and York. You may need to be flexible on location and willing to relocate if needed. We believe some of the best collaboration, learning, and relationship building happens when people come together in-person. That's why our colleagues spend around 50% or more of their working time in the office. We call this Smart Working. For most colleagues, that means spending around three days a week in the office and the rest working from home, although this varies by role and team.
Data Governance and Privacy (Leeds, London, York) - you'll help make sure Aviva uses data responsibly, effectively and in a way our customers can trust. Working across the business, you'll support teams to manage, protect and improve the quality of data, helping to ensure it's accurate, secure and fit for purpose. Whether that's strengthening controls, improving processes, supporting the responsible use of data or helping colleagues make better decisions, you'll play an important role in building strong foundations for analytics, AI and innovation. Combining problem-solving, collaboration and communication, you'll work with a wide range of people to drive positive change and create better outcomes for our customers and our business.
The company
We help millions of customers across the UK, Ireland and Canada protect what matters most to them and plan for their future. Whether it's supporting someone after an accident, helping families feel financially secure, or finding better ways to prepare for tomorrow, our work has a real impact on people's lives.
But we're not just here to solve today's challenges. We’re also investing in technology, data and AI to transform the way we work and deliver even better experiences for our customers.
For you, that means the opportunity to be part of a business that's constantly evolving, bringing fresh ideas to life and making a real difference to millions of people every day.
