We be­lieve in cre­ating an envi­ron­ment where you, our placement student, can learn and develop dur­ing your time with us and where you are giv­en your own ar­eas of responsibilities from the start. Our experts and mentors will treat you as part of the team from day one; encour­aging you to bring your own ideas to the table and to give you the opportunity to show what you can re­ally do.

We are looking for a student to join our Strategy team for 13 months starting July 2027. This is a diverse and interesting role where you’ll provide support to the team in several activities and projects.  The strategy team is responsible for the implementation of the key strategic initiatives of the company.

What will you be doing?

  • Strategic cross-functional interactions across multiple disciplines in the business
  • Analysis of business, market and industry-specific trends, utilising the conclusions from the analysis to identify business opportunities and risks.
  • Project Management support for the resulting strategic concepts, e.g. previous interns have supported the business transition through Brexit and the market implementation of the BMW Group electric vehicle strategy.
  • Preparation of monthly KPI tracking and business reports.
  • Management and control of organisation charts.

Qualifications and experience

  • Studying for a bachelor’s degree and on track to achieve a 2:1 or above in a relevant discipline such as, but not limited to, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Finance and Business, Business Management, Strategy
  • Commercial background with some experience in a working environment
  • Creative and analytical thinker and able to analyse facts and summarise.
  • Able to solve problems in a logical way.
  • Commercially focused with strong numerical, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent report writing, communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with ideally some researching/ consulting experience.
