We’re the Northern Ireland office of the award-winning UK law firm Browne Jacobson LLP. The Belfast team has a long-established reputation in the Northern Ireland market and works closely with colleagues across the UK and Ireland to provide seamless, cross-border legal advice. Key practice areas include Banking and Finance, Corporate, Dispute Resolution and Litigation, Private Client Services, Real Estate and Restructuring and Insolvency.

We have an exciting opportunity for an aspiring solicitor at our Belfast office

In line with our continued growth, we’re looking for trainee solicitors to join the team and commence the Professional Legal Studies course at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies (IPLS) in September 2027. There is also an opportunity to commence your in-office training prior to the IPLS course and gain in-office training credit.

Requirements

  • Law degree (LLB), or other degree from a recognised institution.
  • Successful completion of the IPLS entrance exam and an offer to attend the course commencing in September 2027.
  • Be an engaged and involved member of the team.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and be able to build working relationships.
  • Have the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
