What could I be involved in as a Yorkshire and the Humber fast streamer?
This is an opportunity to be a change-maker on the local and national issues that impact Yorkshire and the Humber. This Fast Stream is entirely based in the region. Through working across a range of roles and departments, you’ll deepen your understanding of policy making, delivery, and the public sector. By building long-standing networks, you’ll help us to foster greater collaboration across regional and local government, leading to better outcomes for the whole country. Plus, during your second year on the scheme, there will be a secondment to local government or a wider public service.
Training includes
We will develop your ability to collaborate across sectors, so that you can solve complex problems at a scale. A range of training will prepare you for your future career, including in Policy, AI, Leadership and Management, and Operational Delivery. You’ll be mentored, connected with a buddy, and encouraged to collaborate with your cohort of fast streamers.

- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- A 2:2 or higher degree, or degree apprenticeship (or be expecting to achieve this).
- Existing civil servants without a degree may still apply.
