We offer a comprehensive suite of services, including controls framework design, next generation controls operating model re-design, controls culture enhancement and controls automation, including the use of AI. In addition, we support management to gain assurance on the operation of their control frameworks. You will collaborate with clients, business and finance controls teams, and technology risk specialists to define their control requirements and help them unlock their full potential.
What skills and academic qualifications do I need?
You must be in the penultimate year of your course, or going on to a masters, and you need to be on track to achieve a predicted degree classification of 2:1 or above in any discipline and you must be graduating by September 2027.
Duration of the programme: 6-weeks
What kind of work will I do?
This role will provide you with opportunities to work as part of multi-disciplinary teams to establish your knowledge of risk, controls and technology across multiple industries. This includes establishing knowledge of key technologies such as AI and then learning how we apply this to drive improvements throughout the control lifecycle from identifying risks to implementing, monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of controls. This includes but is not limited to:
- Risk Assessment: Shadowing team members during walkthroughs to observe and learn how the client’s operations are reviewed, and how key risks are identified and assessed.
- Control Design & Implementation: Gaining insight into how controls are designed and implemented to address risks and ensure compliance with internal policies, legislation, and regulatory requirements, including how deficiencies are remediated.
- Monitoring: Observing the process of testing the effectiveness of key controls and understanding how any control deficiencies are evaluated.
- Change Management & Risk Mitigation: Learning about the delivery of change initiatives that support effective risk management and help build a strong controls culture.
- Technological Advancement: Developing an understanding of current strategies and control requirements, including the use of advanced technologies such as AI and cloud solutions to meet internal and regulatory needs.
- Stakeholder Communication: Understand how risks and issues are managed and how communication is handled with internal management and client stakeholders.
