Trainee Site Manager (Graduate Apprenticeship) - Glasgow
At GRAHAM, we are seeking an enthusiastic Trainee Site Manager to join our Construction team. Supporting the delivery of a range of building projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and public sector developments, you’ll work alongside experienced site professionals while studying towards a fully funded Higher Apprenticeship qualification.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in health and safety management, site coordination, programme delivery, subcontractor supervision, quality assurance, and project management. Working on complex construction projects from site set-up through to completion, you’ll learn how high-quality buildings are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities include
- Support the delivery of construction projects from site set-up through to completion.
- Assist the Site Management team in coordinating subcontractors, monitoring progress, and maintaining programme targets.
- Promote and uphold the highest standards of health, safety, environmental compliance, and quality on site.
- Assist with the procurement and management of materials, plant, and site logistics.
- Build effective working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and the wider project team.
- Support project close-out activities, including snagging, testing and commissioning, and client handover.
This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the Trainee Site Manager and the range of duties to be undertaken.

Essential
- Currently studying, or intending to undertake, a degree-level qualification in a construction-related discipline and able to meet, or have already met, the entry requirements of the relevant training provider.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Strong IT skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willing to work throughout Scotland.
Desirable:
- An appreciation of Health & Safety practices.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Previous exposure to the construction industry, whether through a trade background, work experience, or site-based role, would be beneficial.

Technicial apprenticeship
Apprenticeships are available at a number of entry points from National 5, Highers or HNC/D awards, we are currently seeking to recruit individuals hoping to transition onto Graduate Apprenticeship, or in some cases a Modern Apprenticeship, which are offered from Level 7 to Level 11.
A Graduate Apprenticeship provides a structured pathway to develop your skills while earning a nationally recognised qualification. You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience in the workplace alongside dedicated study time, with all training costs fully funded. These programmes offer a clear route to professional body membership and can lead to rewarding careers.
