Shape products and partnerships used by millions

Banking is changing faster than ever. New technologies, changing customer expectations and the rise of AI are transforming how people manage, save, spend, invest and borrow money. To stay ahead, we need talented people who can turn customer insight into brilliant products and experiences.

Our Product and Partnerships Graduate Scheme is designed to develop the next generation of product leaders: curious thinkers, data explorers and customer-first creators who can turn insight into innovation.

You’ll learn how products are created, prioritised, launched and continually improved. You’ll work alongside Product Leads, Proposition Owners, Customer Journey Managers, Engineers, Designers, Data Experts and external partners to solve real customer problems. From day one, you’ll contribute to meaningful work that impacts millions of people, seeing ideas move from insight to launch and optimisation.

Two years. Three focused placements.

Over two years, you’ll complete three diverse placements across our customer focused business areas, giving you exposure to the teams shaping the future of customer experiences and lending across the Group. Your placements could include:

Product and Platform: learn how products across mortgages, loans, cards, insurance, investments, car finance, leasing and everyday banking are designed, managed and delivered. Work on customer journeys, digital experiences and platform innovation.

Customer Propositions and Digital Journeys: use customer insight to shape products, services and experiences, helping teams prioritise opportunities and deliver change at pace.

Strategic Partnerships: work with major partners such as Jaguar Land Rover to shape new products, manage relationships, bring propositions to market and support safe, profitable delivery.

Together, these placements will build your experience in customer insight, commercial decision-making, product management, partnership development, agile delivery and transformation.

The skills you’ll develop

By the end of the scheme, you’ll be able to:

  • Apply product management principles to real customer and commercial challenges.
  • Understand the end-to-end product lifecycle, from idea and business case through to implementation and optimisation.
  • Use customer and behavioural data, analytics and AI tools to inform decisions and improve journeys.
  • Translate customer insight into product improvements, innovation and new propositions.
  • Build business cases and prioritise opportunities based on customer and commercial value.
  • Build and manage partnerships that add value, resolve barriers and support effective delivery.
  • Influence stakeholders and collaborate across multidisciplinary and agile teams.
  • Develop financial literacy and understand how the bank makes decisions and generates revenue.

Support to succeed

You’ll be backed with:

  • Leadership interaction and sponsorship.
  • Mentoring from leaders who’ve been where you are now.
  • Access to learning academies, Viva Learning and internal platforms.
  • Opportunities to contribute to sustainability, inclusion and other initiatives that make a real difference.

Your career. Fully backed.

You’ll finish with strong commercial, customer, product, data, delivery and relationship skills, plus the confidence and network to begin your career at LBG. You’ll be ready to shape products, manage partnerships and create experiences that help millions of customers manage, spend and borrow with confidence.
