Working within the Revenue Growth & Planning team, the Commercial Planning Intern will support the day-to-day commercial planning activities of Moët Hennessy UK, with a strong focus on data accuracy, forecasting, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.

This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commercial operations and value creation, while working closely with sales teams and other internal stakeholders. The intern will contribute to volume and revenue forecasting, reporting processes, and business analysis to help support robust decision-making and commercial strategy execution.

Please note that all our internships are full-time 12 month contracts and you must have the right to work in the UK.

Job responsibilities

Commercial Planning partner for the following channel within MHUK:

  • Direct & Indirect On-Trade
  • Route to Market (RTM)
  • Additional key channels including Retail, Private Sales, Corporate, Sponsorship, and Festivals

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the sales team in their planning activities and processes
  • Acting as a first point of contact for commercial investment creation and amendment requests
  • Support sales team to create new customers in SAP & Aspire
  • Assisting the Commercial Planning Business Partner in reviewing and challenging the accuracy of volume, price, investment and forecast assumptions, including the full price waterfall
  • Updating monthly forecast accuracy and variance dashboards
  • Sharing key updates and commentary on performance trends and changes with relevant stakeholders

Stock & Depletion Management

  • Drive data collection, reporting and analysis processes
  • Process all the monthly data received from wholesale customers
  • Communicate key updates and insights to relevant stakeholders
  • Support BI tool maintenance and management with commentary on key developments
  • Maintain the multiple Power BI data sources to ensure On-Trade dashboard remain accurate and up to date
  • Support the Commercial Planning Business Partner to manage the end-of-year stock landing for key wholesale customers

Data Management & Analysis

  • Consolidate data for key commercial reports
  • Prepare accurate and timely reporting for internal stakeholders
  • Building expertise in business intelligence tools
  • Understanding the business concepts behind the data to provide meaningful analysis
  • Supporting the training of stakeholders on relevant tools and reports, adapting communication to different audiences
  • Producing analysis and insights for key stakeholders across Sales and Marketing teams

Profile

Education

  • Degree-level education, ideally in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Professional experience & know-how

  • Previous systems or data management experience in a commercial environment is a plus.
  • An understanding of P&L and value chain concepts would be beneficial.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders to improve efficiency and support business objectives.
  • Interest in the wines and spirits industry is a plus.

Technical skills

  • Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and SUMIFS.
  • VBA knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
