Mizuho is not your typical financial institution.
We offer a fantastic opportunity to gain experience within a global financial institution, working on real projects whilst developing a strong professional network within a company that prides itself on its inclusive, cooperative and friendly culture.
We offer the best of both worlds – the feeling of a close-knit work environment within a global organisation. Our steady growth in EMEA gives our people at all levels rewarding degrees of responsibility and a richer work experience than a small firm or an established giant could offer alone.
The EMEA Operations Department plays a critical role in supporting Mizuho’s day-to-day activities and ensuring the smooth delivery of services to our clients and business partners.
What will I be doing?
Over 10 weeks, you’ll gain hands-on experience within the EMEA Operations Department, working alongside experienced professionals and gaining exposure to the different areas of Operations.
You’ll be placed within one of our four Operations pillars, whilst gaining exposure to all four throughout your internship. You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Gain insight into Markets Operations, supporting the smooth delivery of Markets products and services.
- Gain exposure to Banking Operations, including areas such as payments, cash management, trade finance and lending.
- Learn about Client Lifecycle Management and Control Tower, including client onboarding, KYC, operational controls and risk assessments.
- Support Business Management, Governance & Planning and Projects & Change Management activities, including process improvement initiatives
You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of Banking and Securities products and services, while developing an understanding of end-to-end banking processes, operational controls, regulatory requirements and client service delivery.
What can we offer you?
- Real-World Experience: Work on real business activities and gain first-hand experience within a global investment bank.
- Personalised Guidance & Mentorship: One-on-one guidance from experienced market professionals.
- Comprehensive Training: Technical training and tailored soft skills sessions designed to help you thrive in a professional environment.
