The role
We are looking for a high-calibre graduate with a strong interest in AI and prompt engineering to join our in-house Legal team as a AI & Automation Analyst. The role sits at the forefront of an emerging discipline called "legal engineering" - which is reshaping how in-house legal teams work - and you'll help us figure out what it looks like in practice.
You will work with a proper modern stack: Claude, a dedicated legal AI platform, and the apps the team lives in every day - Slack, Google Drive, Confluence, Jira, Salesforce - all wired together so you can train AI agents and build workflows that move between them. Your job is to apply AI to the work itself - contract review, legal research, intake, risk analysis and more - and change how our Legal team operates day-to-day.
You'll work closely with the whole team from the General Counsel to lawyers covering commercial, employment, privacy, product, procurement, corporate and risk.
What you’ll do
- Train, deploy and maintain AI agents that handle real legal work - contract review, legal intake, policy lookups, regulatory tracking and more
- Design and stress-test prompt chains and multi-step workflows using Claude, legal AI tool and the rest of our stack - breaking things on purpose to find what works and what doesn’t
- Connect the apps our lawyers use every day (Slack, Drive, Confluence, Jira, Salesforce and more) into end-to-end AI workflows
- Drive adoption: train lawyers, refine usage, and make sure what you build actually gets used after the first enthusiastic pilot
- Maintain playbooks, prompt libraries and internal documentation, and produce clear briefings for senior stakeholders on what’s working, what isn’t, and where to invest next
What you’ll need to succeed
- AI curiosity and hands-on instinct: You've played with tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini out of genuine interest, and you're comfortable crafting and refining prompts. No engineering background needed — enthusiasm, structured thinking, and a drive to make AI actually useful matter far more.
- A builder's mindset: You're high-agency, roll up your sleeves, and aren't afraid to break things to find what works. You take ownership from problem to solution and see things through to "done", not just "discussed."
- People-first problem solving: You can sit with a non-technical stakeholder, understand their real needs, and design something they'll genuinely use. Empathy and practicality are just as important as technical aptitude.
- Data fluency: Comfortable working with Excel and Google Sheets to manipulate and make sense of data.
