Wealth management brings financial planning and investment management together into a single, coordinated service — helping clients make informed decisions, manage their wealth with clarity, and feel confident about their financial future. 

As a Wealth Graduate Trainee, you’re training to become a Wealth Manager with the option to follow various pathways into Investments, Portfolio Management, Financial Planning or Wealth Planning. You don’t need to decide that now, you’ll get exposure to different areas throughout your time on the programme.   

 

What you’ll experience 

Over two years, you’ll rotate through different areas of our Wealth business including investment management & financial planning.  You will also spend time in teams that are key to ensuring the success of Wealth Management business such as Research, Operations, Investment Risk or Business Development. You’ll build technical skills, learn how to work with clients and get a feel for where your strengths lie. 

You’ll be supported throughout the programme with: 

  • A buddy to help you settle in 
  • Professional qualifications (Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma), followed by relevant Level 7 qualifications such as CWM or CII on successful completion of the programme. 
  • Continued development including an assigned mentor, in person and online facilitated training sessions and opportunities to build your professional network 
  • Opportunities to connect with other graduates and early-career colleagues both internally and externally 
  • Investment 20/20 membership 

At the end of the programme, you’ll be able to apply for a permanent role in one of our client-facing teams. 

 

What we’re looking for 

We’re looking for graduates who want to learn, get stuck in and take charge of where they go next.  You’ll need: 

  • Permanent Right to Work in the UK 
  • To be within 5 years of completing your undergraduate degree 
  • A 2:1 degree in your undergraduate degree, in any subject 
  • A genuine interest in investment and financial markets 
  • To be a people person with a keenness to proactively build your network 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships  
  • Confidence with numbers and attention to detail 
  • A collaborative mindset and respect for others 
  • Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to get involved 
  • Awareness of industry developments and regulation 
  • Strong IT literacy, including an interest in automation and AI 
  • Share our passion for ensuring an excellent client experience
